Shuts off immediately after pressing power on

Hi. I realize there are several issues similar but not quite exact to my problem.

I had used the laptop last friday ok. Powered it off normally. Yesterday I went to turn it on to no avail. What I notice is the front White LED flashes once quickly and that's about it. The battery appears fine as I had been working previously with no problems. The MagSafe led is green and the side green Leds go to full when I press the test button. I've tried tons of things. Resetting the SMC, the NVRAM, re-seating the RAM modules, powering up with battery disconnected, reconnected, etc.

I did notice that when I press the start button, The FAN spins for a second, like the laptop does try to start, but the next second everything is dead. If you press the power on button again, you see the front LED flashing for a split second and the Fan trying to spin. Next second everything is off again.

Help please!

First thing to do in this case is to remove the lower case and take a close look at your motherboard if you see something suspicios.

Keeping the battery connected disconect all cables one by one and each time retry to power on the machine, leave the keyboard for the last (it helps you to power on). If nothing changes lastly disconnect the keyboard and the battery and atach the charger ( this model will start by its own once the magsafe is atached without the battery).

If you Macbook is still refuses to power on its likely that you have a motherboard issue and try to take it to a specialized shop to take a closer look at it.

Oros.

Thank you for your kind suggestion. Sorry for my late reply. Only today I was able to get around to it.

So I tried removing every connector and which each removal, tried power on the Mac. Same result. Front white LED flashes for a split second; fan starts for a couple of seconds and shuts back down.

There is a typical sound these Macs make (like when the HDD starts to spin I guess), but you don't hear that here.

I guess my next move is take it to specialized service? I'm afraid Logic Board replacement will cost me what I paid for the Mac, having bought it second hand for a friend who had it just for web surfing.

Regards,

Eliecer
