Loud Back Fire no start
Machine ran fine cut 1.5 acre. Tried to start one week later and it back fires loudly but won't start

@bear411 could be an ignition or a valve adjustment issue. For that we would need to know what engine make and model number your mower has. The manufacturer might had installed various engines (different engine brand and series) on these mowers,like B&S, Kohler, Kawasaki etc. Check your airfilter, make sure that your engine gets plenty of air and check your plug. Take a look at the face and let us know what it looks like. Check the carburetor and make sure that it is clean, including the float and needle valve.
