Missing Sensor cable HDD FAN

Hi

I received in a 27" iMac 3.1 GHz i5 (mid 2011) that was previously opened, all the cables inside were disconnected, plugged all back in place, but one is missing! I'm unable to identify it. Also the HDD closure is missing,

Can someone help to identify this cable and what else I need to buy.

Thanks all in advance

You likely need a few parts here. The image is not very clear if you just can't find the cable end or the fan is missing This is HD fan unit which is located just behind the logic board at the mid point.

It sounds like they also stripped the drive and took all of the pieces.

  • HD Bracket (1) - Apple P/N 922-9135
  • HD Bracket (Case ) Screws T10 (2) - 922-6850
  • HD Bracket (HD) Screws T8 (2) - 922-9136
  • HD Pins (2) - 922-9135
  • HD SATA Cable - 922-9851
  • HD Fan (with cable) - 922-9872 (in case it's missing)
  • HD Fan Screw (1) - 922-9236

You'll need a new 3.5" HD and you'll need this in-line thermal sensor as they took the HD: OWC In-line Digital Thermal Sensor for iMac 2011 Hard Drive Upgrade. I would recommend getting a Seagate SSHD or if you can swing it get a SSD, you'll need an adapter frame to fit that in.
