Hi @ bilal.mymail,

What happens if you connect the phone to a computer? Is it detected by the computer?

If not (or even it is is) try the following:

Use a strong light and a magnifying glass to check that the phone's charge port pins are all there and that they are all straight and parallel with each other.

Also check that the port enclosure is free from lint etc.

If there is lint etc, use a vacuum cleaner to clear it out. DO NOT use a metal pin or probe as you may damage the pins. If necessary gently, stress very gently try a wooden toothpick to remove the obstruction.

If everything appears to be OK, consult the manufacturer's warranty statement contained in the documentation that came with the phone as to what you have to do to make a claim for a manufacturer's warranty repair or replacement. (It is usually found in the User Guide - if you cannot find it, go online and search for Samsung J5 Prime warranty as it may differ depending on your location)

Given that the phone is so new, it is not worth voiding the warranty by opening the phone to ascertain what is wrong.

Hi @Denardo Smith,

if you're having problems with the charging IC in the phone I'm sorry that Icannot help you. I don't have the schematic or the parts list for the phone.

Here's a link to a video that may be of some help.

If you determine that the IC itself is faulty hopefully there is some product markings on the IC case that will help you search for it online.

Otherwise contact a reputable professional mobile phone repair service for a quote to fix the phone. It may be cheaper and quicker in the long run.
