The new battery bought on IFIXIT doesn't charge

Hi,

I have replaced my old battery with the new one from IFIXIT in my MacBook Pro early 2011, but it can't be charged...

The stored power within the battery has ended now and I can't recharge it, I tried SMC reset and NVRAM reset but nothing.

Can someone help me ?

Thx to all !

this problem was present before replacing the battery? if you put back the old one in, does it charge?

by

i can't put back the old one 'cause one of the two screws holding the battery is stripped :- ) if i remember correctly, i changed the battery because the old one was completly broken and my mac was very very slow ...

The battery got bronken progressively, during lasts day it seems like the battery couldn't be charged, "like 0% charge " and not able to charge anymore.

I really don't know why,

thx in advance :-)

Review this Apple T/N: Apple Portables: Troubleshooting MagSafe adapters.

Then review these:

As of late we've seen a fair amount of counterfeit chargers damaging systems. For a time the issue had subsided but its back! Someone else is cloning the chargers and putting you and your equipment at risk!

Sadly, its a likely a bit late here. As your logic boards power system is damaged. Which is why the system won't charge. If you can still get it to run you can prove this using this tool: coconutBattery it will show you the charge within the battery as well as the rate of charge when you have the MagSafe connected charging.

thx for software suggestion, but my mac can't stay switched on for more than 5-10 secs after starting.. i can't run softwre on it...

I figured that was the case. Sorry ;-{

Sounds like you'll need to get the systems logic board repaired. If cleaning the contacts or trying a REAL Apple MagSafe charger doesn't fix things.
