no sound on speaker when the earphone jack is connected

Hello,

i have replaced a display set, the old one was damaged. After replacing all the things are running well. Only one Problem.

If i connect the flex cable from earphones jack, i get no sound from the speaker, if the cable is disconnected, i have the sound. The flex cable is new, with an old one is the same problem.

I have restored the phone, nothing was changing.

Any Ideas?

thanks a lot for your help.

You are right, man! I cleaned the connector on the logic board with needle , there were some parts of dirt inside. But I think, the cable is out of order too, because the vibration doesn't function. I ordered a new one.

Thanks for help.

Check the flex cable port on the logic board. It sounds like your phone is somehow tricked into believing that you have headphones plugged in. When you plug headphones into the headphone jack, it should tell your phone to turn off the speaker. Damage in the cable could be falsely reporting weather or not a headphone is plugged in. Also consider if you got a broken jack cable, and if necessary seek a return.
