MacBook Pro does not recognize my HDD

Since a week, I can't get my MacBook Pro to recognize my HDD. When I use the install dvd, i can't select my HDD and with Disk Utilities, i also can't see the HDD. I tried another new HDD but it didn't work also. Both drives work when I use it in an USB SATA external drive.

What part do I need to replace for my MBP?

Update

Just replaced the HDD cable but with no luck. It must be the logic board then. Thank you for your time guys!

This port normally doesn't just go out without some help. What happened?

According to the owner cola was spilled on it.

well, that might have something to do with it.

C Ata - did you have to replace the logic board? Is that the same as the motherboard ... if so how much was that?
