The tv must be unplugged and then plugged in again to operate.

Ruth Marsh you did not tell how how many times the power LED blinks.sounds like a power board issue. Could be an IC or capacitor on the power board that has failed. It may help if you give us the complete model number of your TV and post some images of your individual boards with your question. Use this guide Adding images to an existing question for that
