Hi @chukyokoh

Hard Drives are fragile and sensitive device.

Due to the impact from dropping off from height, the hard drive is probably damaged. The hard disk head might be misaligned or stucked.

I had experienced this before and yea... expensive lessons, when I accidentally dropped my external hard drive from a height.

If you have important data, consider to send in to data recovery.

If the drive is still in warranty, do a replacement / RMA.

Check Warranty Status

https://support.wdc.com/warranty/warrant...

Even if you managed to make the hard drive work, I will not put important data inside, as it can fail again anytime.

Hi @Rizalde A. Servano, there is a certain of probability to recover the files, if data is so important, send in to reputable hard disk recovery company, e.g. http://www.toptenreviews.com/services/in...
