How Can I Fix My iPhone Buttons?

The buttons are too deep inside of the phone. I can't press them. Anyone know what the problem could be? I did exactly as in the video(s). And even re-checked everything that could've been wrong. Any guesses? (Same goes for the power button).

~wanted to make a picture but wouldn't really help because it comes out too blurry.

You don't really say what videos you are referring too so I'll point you to a reputable repair guide here on iFixit. You also don't say if this was the original problem or only after an attempted repair. The more information you provide, the more we can help you.

Without having seen your phone nor the pictures, I believe it is an alignment issue between the actuator (the part that goes click) and the actual button. Go back through the guide (and this one) and get back to us with more details.

Hi, thanks for your reply,

I am sorry for not giving enough details. This happened after replacing the housing. It was fine before I did this. The button is completely flat with the device. I tried over 20 times now, I also thought that I could be an alignment issue. I checked everything thoroughly and it's EXACTLY the same as in these images:

the black rubber is around the button, the metal piece is pointed downwards, the button-strip thingy is straightly put onto the button, and was screwed tightly. The button is now pointed out of the device (after 1 attempt more) (As an original iPhone). But I can't press it, it doesn't go back in when I press it. It's unresponsive. How much is the average cost to fix those 3 buttons? I must've screwed up somewhere but it really doesn't look like I have.

Thanks for your kind reply. :)

Did you remove the flexes from the button when you transferred everything over? The actuator (a small black dot) has to line up with the small metal disk on the (inside) of the button. It's a little hard to explain...check out the 3rd image of step 34 over here (iPhone 6 Volume Control Cable Replacement).

Hey Minho,

I looked into the info you gave me. I found out that the button does click satisfyingly when I put pressure on the metal piece covering the two buttons.

So I guess it was an alignment issue. Thanks a lot for your time info. I really appreciated it.
