I need help with a Digitizer/Glass replacement (LCD is okay)!

Hello guys! So, I got an iPad Pro 9.7 and after an accident the glass is shattered but the LCD behind it is all right. The touch functions also work perfectly, even in the sections where the glass is broken.

So, I went ahead and bought a Digitizer/Glass advertised as coming "with tape replacement" (forgive me if I am mistaken, but I think Digitizer/Glass refer to the same component, at least in this case?). Here it is:

So, I have been watching videos and for this specific iPad I only seem to find guides and videos of people replacing the whole thing (LCD + Digitizer). In my case I only want to replace the digitizer. In some videos such as this one (iPad Air 2) there seems to be a glue (OCA) holding the LCD and the digitizer together (and a bunch of specialized equipment involved) but for other iPad models there appears to be no glue and appears to be much easier to do such as here. So.... 2 questions my friends:

1- Any of you have experience with the pro 9.7? will there be glue similar to the iPad Air 2? any tips or any other video that you can suggest of another iPad model that is the most similar to mine?

2- What tools would you recommend? I am thinking about purchasing this:

A) iOpener kit: iOpener

or the Essential Electronics toolkit: Essential Electronics Toolkit

Which kit do you recommend?

and B) Some tape:

red [linked product missing or disabled: IF317-071-2]

polyimide: Polyimide Tape

61395: Tesa 61395 Tape

Which tape do you recommend?

And last but not least... what other tools would you suggest? I already have a heat gun, but if you can think of anything else please let me know.

Thank you so much for any help that you can provide me with!!

Cheers!

On the iPad Air 2 and Pro models, the LCD and Digitizer are fused together, similar to the iPhones. You can't really replace just the digitizer unless you get all into "refurbishing". Frankly, given the size of the iPad screens, it would be extremely difficult to do a professional job with LOCA and doing it with OCA requires professional grade machines. Not to mention all of the consumables required...

So in a sense, you got "had" by whoever sold you this. The only way to fix a broken iPad Pro screen is to buy the complete assembly.

As for tools and videos, the iPad Pro 9.7 repair is similar to the iPad Air 2 but here are some videos you can look at.
