Won't boot past Firevault login screen.

The computer boots up and I login and it won't go past the Firevault login screen, the loading bar is slow and when it's full it's just hangs

I tried ASD and it found not issues

Booting into disk utilities is the same thing, it boots and loads slowly and hangs at the apple logo.

Tried safe mode and nothing changed

Charging was weird at the start, I would plug in my charger and no lights but now it works normally.

Finally my friend who works at the apple store did a diagnosis and it said "Management engine failure". I have no idea what that means though.

Thanks to everyone that can help!!

Ah! You encountered the Intel Management Engine (I-ME) download failure!

As you have a Fire Vault enabled disk you have a problem! We have a 'Chicken and Egg' problem! The system needs access to the drive to unlock the system but the drive or the access key has a problem!

You'll need to take the drive out and using either an external drive or a clean replacement drive boot the system up under it (if you can't do this the logic board has a failure).

You'll still need the FileVault recovery key to gain access to the data on your drive.

Here's a good write-up on FileVault: Use FileVault to encrypt the startup disk on your Mac
