Dust building up in camera

I've mostly had great luck working on iPhones, except for one thing.

A couple of weeks after the repair I always notice dust building up inside the camera lens, on both the front and the rear camera.

I'm going to replace the logic board on an iPhone 5s soon, so what tricks and precautions do I have to take to make sure this problem doesn't reoccur?

Replacement front cameras or rear cases sometimes come with camera foam gaskets missing. Check the supplied parts and compare with original ones, if they are missing, buy the gaskets and put them on.

Usually i don't touch the cameras, and when I've done so, I've never seen any foam gaskets. While I worked at a fleamarket, someone delivered a bunch of old iPhones, so I've mostly been transferring original parts

For the rear camera, the gasket is in the rear case, for the front camera, the gasket is adhered to the lens. Look closely.
