Which battery should I buy; thin or thick?

Hello! I have an iPod Classic 7th gen, 160gb (black), and the battery doesn't last 3 minutes. I want to replace it, but I'm not sure whether to get the "thin" or "thick" replacement. Please help!

mcgrathbrianj you could use a kitchen scale and weigh your iPod. The "thick" is ~5.7ounce's/163g and the "thin" is ~4.9 ounce's/137g. Check your serial number on this site and see what it tells you. If it says iPod Classic its thick, if it says iPod Classic (late 2009) it's thin.

The 160GB was the only drive that had both thick and thin. I wouldn't guess, open it up and look. It's a:

Apple iPod classic (Late 2008/7th Gen) 120 GB, 160 GB Specs

iPod classic - MB562LL/A* - A1238 - 2173

That MC297LL turns up the model I posted, the late 2008. So it's the thick.
