How do I break up with this girl?

I met this girl when we were i think 14. We hang around for about a year, seeing each other pretty much once a week. But then when we were 15 we never saw each other anymore but we kept texting and both said we like each other. We literally haven't seen each other since then but still text constantly. We are now both 16. The problem is I don't really like her as she is quite ugly and just not really my type but she is really kind hearted and I like her as a friend. Since we never see each other it shouldn't be this hard but I just don't want to hurt her. Please give me some advice.

During that time, she will forget that you ever existed, and, perhaps, someone will come along and see her inner beauty that you are unable to perceive. I think you must tell her everything directly. This is the best way, but it is clear that everyone chooses the option they consider the best. I was convinced of this by reading many stories from https://breakupangels.com/break-up-stori... and I was really amazed that there are so many cases. I personally have never had to go through something like this in my life and I am very happy. I have been in a relationship for five years and everything is going well. Whenever we argue, we try to find a compromise and move on. I think this is the right way.
