Touch ID doesn't recognise the fingerprint

Hi guys,

I've got a weird problem with the TouchID after battery replacement.

I haven't got any message showing "unable to activate" or any "failed".

It's allowing me to add it but does not recognise the fingerprint, so basically I can't do anything with that.

I've already tried to reset all settings, I've restored the phone to the factory settings and replaced the lightning port to check the connector.

Any advices what else I could do?

When you put your finger on the button and it does not appear to be able to sense your finger, the MESA BOOST power rail or the metal ring circuit has failed. That ring acts as a touch sensing element and it adds electric field onto your finger to let the capacitive chip read your fingerprint better.

The Touch ID chip power and communication link is intact so you are still able to access Touch ID settings, the brain is intact, it's just "blinded" by not able to see your finger, like a cataract.
