Why is my high volume button is self functioning

I'm washing the dishes while I watch movies on my phone and suddenly the phone got soak in the basin I put it on rice overnight and I dismantle the battery from the phone

Day after that I reasemble the phone and notice the high volume button is self functioning (the volume goes up it self

What will I do??
