Broken screen can't swipe off

I have a ipad4 with a broken screen got a new one in the mail went to fix it but the screen is so cracked I can't swipe it off. Tried the the home button and sleep button thing but it just reboots. How do I power it down without swiping. O the power is also at 55% so letting it drain will take months.

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

It seems you have quite the predicament. Searching online and messing around on my own iPad (mini), I wasn't able to find any real way to shut down an ipad without use of the screen. I don't know if it would work, but you might try to crash your iPad externally with a text message "hack". It's a little out-there, but ask Siri to open messages, then use another device to text your iPad a message that will shut it down. "Effective power" was the classic one, but it doesn't work anymore. You could find a website that has the "White Flag 0 Rainbow" and capy/paste that(you can't even type it without the device crashing). Granted this won't work if you have a newer operating system, don't have Siri enabled, don't have messages enabled, etc., which is why I say it's"out-there". On the off chance it does work, I thought I'd add my idea, but agian, it is far-fettched, so this may not be useful to you.

Hope this helps!
