Water damaged phone, can I revive it?

So I have a iphone 6s that (was told by a repair shop) has corrosion from water damage. I don't care about any data that was on the phone as it was backed up, so I was just wondering if replacing the logic board will revive the phone again?

The battery and screen was replaced at the time when it was first initially water damaged . Or is there no way to get the phone working again ?

If yes then it leads to my other question, knowing apple paired the logic board and home button for touch id security reasons, would i be able to somehow pair my new logic board with my current home button and use touch id?

The logic board is the phone...and yes, you will also need to replace the Home button.

The cost of the logic board and button probably don't make this a worthwhile project, you may as well buy a used 6S that works.

Or you could have the phone looked at by a micro-solderer; it may be fixable.

was looked at by a micro solderer, was a really slim chance of it being fixable but mainly the cost would out weigh of just buying a used 6s. The purpose of this is partly due to of my habit/hobby of fixing things myself. If i got a new logic board and home button would you know if id be able to log in with my original apple id/use touch id? if apple could somehow make that happen id do it.
