Remove rusty screw from lcd assembly

so for reasons being, I'm taking a part a 3GS to clean it and I'm wondering what the safest way to remove a rusty screw that holds the lcd assembly onto the front panel of the phone. It stripped out some cuz of the rust and now I dont know the best way to pop it out.

The phone can live with 1 of the 5 lcd panel screws missing, I just want to be careful not to bust the screen or anything

Not helpful.

Basically they wan't you to use a dremel to cut the screw. Likely to do more damage than good in an iPhone.
