iPhone 7 does not charge past 5% after screen replacement

I have done a few iPhone 7 repairs now. 2 of the repairs I have done came back within 2 weeks saying how their phone will not charge past 5%. One was an iPhone 7 one was an iPhone 7 plus, completely non related customers. Could this have anything to do with the repair, or is it from the initial drop something internally (or the battery) got damaged?

I had the same issue turned out the battery connector was slightly loose, once I connected it properly it charged up fine.

It's hard to imagine how screen repairs would impact the charge circuit on the iPhone...unless you accidentally dislodged some passive components near the battery connector. Check specifically for R2201 (on the IP7). If the BATTERY_SWI line is damaged, it confuses the CPU on the charge state.
