Why is my speaker acting weird?

My sound works on everything else except when I make calls. For the other person to be able to hear me in a phone call I have to put my phone on speaker but when it's on speaker I can't hear them. So it's really hard to make calls but it's strange because I literally have NO issue with sound on anything else.

Test the microphone using voice memos, if there is completely no recording shown via tapping at the two microphone ports at the bottom left and bottom right then the charging port assembly (which has the microphones on them) needs to be replaced.

Hey, I just tried it and The recording showed and I could hear it so it wasn't that. Any other suggestions?

Okay, do an backup of your iPhone using iTunes. Then restore the phone and then restore the backup of your iPhone using iTunes.

This is to rule out the iOS System software causing the issue as I've had it happen once before to me.
