iPhone boots, does not vibrate, make a sound yet is recognized by PC

Hello, so the title may be rather confusing.

Today, I was browsing Safari on iPhone SE 64 gb when all of a sudden, the screen turned black and phone "died". I was unable to do anything for like an hour but was able to put it in DFU mode. So I performed a complete restore.

The restore went well except the screen was black. At the end of the process, it asked me to insert my SIM card (since I had it in my spare phone) and enter my Apple ID (since the phone was iCloud locked). This all I have done, phone booted (still a black screen) but I was able to set it up as a new phone via iTunes, etc.

Still, the phone makes no sound/vibration, nothing! But when I leave the SIM card in and call my number, people can hear it ringing (except I can not). As for now, the phone is dead and can't no longer be put in a DFU mode. Nothing.

Has anything happened recently to your phone, such as a drop or do you use non-Apple original Lightning connectors/charging bricks or contact with water - even minimally? Phones don't usually just die...there is usually some history behind it even if we don;t realize it as it happens.

I would suggest that if your phone is still under warranty (possible) that a trip to the Apple store would be your best recourse. If the phone is out of warranty, then you or a repair shop will have to do some basic troubleshooting. Shops might not charge for basic troubleshooting but if you do it yourself you will have to buy some stuff like a battery, Lightning Dock and screen to rule out the major modules.

Hello, sadly enough-the phone has no warranty anymore. I tried to replace LCD and disconnect battery, etc..What is shocking is that the phone somehow works via PC. This shocks me. But you are probably right, some local shop will probably be the best solution for me.

Based on your comments, it could be a backlight/LCD driver problem. If you plug in your phone, shine a bright flashlight on the screen. If you see a dim image, then it is backlight related. If there is no image whatsoever, then it could be an LCD driver issue. Does iTunes or 3uTools (www.3u.com) recognize your phone when it is plugged into the computer?

Hello, I dont think it is a LCD problem - the phone does not vibrate. Do you have any other ideas? Thank you vm. for your help tho!

Hello, pardon me..The iPhone is connected to iTunes normally and is recognized both by 3u and iTunes.
