Accidentally ripped antenna wire

I accidentally ripped the cable of the antenna pictured in step 7 here:

iPad 3G Teardown

I tore it right where it connects to the golden connector at the very end.

Whats this antenna, and whats the fix?

Thanks.

The iPad has five antenna, you may notice no difference without it. or Use a soldering iron and fix it. or you can just buy a new one here: http://www.etechparts.com/iPad-Repair-Pa...

Thanks Mayer, but what is this antenna exactly?

p.s. Im noticing weaker 3G signal, and almost no signal when indoors. I just want to confirm before replacing it if 3G was affected because of this or some other factor.

I'm sorry. I didn't build it. If it's broke fix it, then see if you have any problems.

Laith, step 12 of your link shows your the actually antennas. I am with mayer on that one. Fix the obvious first, after that see what you got and repair one piece at a time. Do not get ahead of yourself by trying to many things at once. Good luck.

Thanks. I reattached the wire but it seems that didnt fix it. Will replace it with a new one and see what happens.
