home button works for only a couple days

I replaced my glass/digitizer on my iPad Air2, reinstalled my original home button but after 2 days the home button failed again. I opened it up again and removed the home button bracket and looked it over and reinstalled it. worked fine for another three days then failed again. any suggestions?

The adhesive seemed fine the first time, I added another strip of double sided tape to the bracket to make sure, but now its failed again.

Shall I just replace the gasket holding the home button or would it be recommended that I replace the home button bracket as well?

If you're going to open the iPad then you might as well replace the charge port which the home button connects to as well as the home button. My guess is that you don't have the screen seated well and the home button is not making good contact. After replacing the screen, the new screen should seal nearly as well as the original.
