My phone screen will randomly flash on and off continuously

It has started to do it more and more frequently, but its happened ever since i got the phone. Its a lg stylo 2 plus, and randomly the screen will just start flashing. And i cant get it to stop or even enter my unlock code or anything. Is it a problem with the circut board underneath the screen? If so... Can it be fixed?
