MacBook Pro is dead- a special case

I rarely shuts down my MBP always keep it into sleep mode.

One morning I unlocked it and played some videos from YouTube, like after 15 min MBP screen went black, I tried force shut down and nothing happened. Tried different key combinations( SMC reset, PRAM etc) again nothing happened.

I plugged megsafe charger and it was charging perfectly( blinking green lights on battery indicator, first green light then orange on charger head)

Pressed power button while it was plugged in but again no result.

Then I opened back lid of my MBP and removed the battery connection and battery indicator connection and tried booting up it on direct power.

Plugged in the charger(keeping battery detached) and it booted up normally, I unlocked it. everything was fine(except cross signed battery icon). Everything was there, nothing wrong with the hard drive.

I turned it off and reconnected battery setup and pressed power button and nothing happened...

Now I pressed the power button with detached battery setup for 10 sec. keeping power button pressed, I connected the battery setup( battery jack- you know what I mean, the one connected with the logic board) and I heard the chime but there wasn't anything on the screen, it was black. and fan was running way faster than usual. ( SMC reset and force shut down by power button stopped the fan ) .

Please guys guide me what's wrong with this MBP- is it the logic board problem ?

I'm no pro at the Apple stuff but I have seen and experienced similar situations on other laptops and in a few of those cases it's just been the battery itself that's gone bad, maybe bad logic board or such. If you are able to get possession of a matching battery for it then try hooking that one up to it to see if it fixes the problem, also as side thing I do is if by any chance it turns out to be the battery and end up replacing it. For good measure I replace the charger as well but that's just me and really isn't necessary.
