Display dead, want to retrieve my pictures

I have had my iPhone 6s for about a here and just recently started using it quite a lot as a personal hotspot device for my PC. After a couple weeks I noticed a thin greenish line right across the top where it usually starts if there is a connection. A couple days later while using the phone the entire screen flicked to that same greenish faded color. After that while on Facebook app I could see the previous previous app used being whats app slightly faded in the background, or the apple booting logo on my wallpaper. The phone then went down hill very quickly and the color got worse, darker green, then blue, purple, black and red and now is completely black. It comes on if when I charge it but get zero displace, it is black. The alarm was going off too but I could only hold the home and power button to stop it. When I plug it into the pc It identifys after after a short period, guess it charges and turns on and then says there are a couple gigs used but it cannot import any pictures or videos, says there is none. Is there anyway around this? I would love to get my data back. Thank you very much, Mike.
