Why is my ZTE ZMax Pro Z981 keyboard so sensitive?

I just got my new phone today an I'm having troubles with my keyboard. In the texting app the keyboard is fine but everything else is so sensitive. How do I fix the problem?

Setting the touch sensitivity to have a try, change it slower.
