repair nuvi 2792LM that has been opened

I was given a nuvi 2797lm GPS that some one had tried to replace battery in it the connector strip that connect the screen was torn can it be fixed and if so how much?

@jimjrhougland "the connector strip that connect the screen" if you are referring to the flat ribbon cable that connects the LCD to the motherboard, then the answer is no. It will require a LCD replacement. Just to be sure, you do want to post some images of the damage with your question so we can see what you see. Use this guide for that.
