Will iPhone 6 turn on without the audio codec IC chip?

Hi, I have an iPhone 6 here. The microphone on the charging flex doesn't work. I tried a few new charging flexes, made no difference. The microphone still doesn't work. So I ruled out the possibility of faulty charging flex. Now it seems the only possibility is the Audio codec IC chip (U0900). I successfully removed the audio chip, before reballing the chip, I tested the phone see if it is working, however I found the phone won't turn on at all!

Can anyone tell me if the phone is able to power on without the audio code chip?
