Unibody upper case keyboard not functioning correctly.

After replacing the upper case with keyboard on my late 2011 macbook pro 13" I have to hit my space bar pretty hard to get it to work. I also have to really press my left shift key pretty hard for Capitalizing words. Any help other than a return? I've done the default for shortcut keys in System Preferences.

Thanks,

Marshall

I don't replace the upper case. I replace the keyboard. It's a lot more work but costs 1/10 of what an uppercase does, and I get a brand new keyboard. Here's how:

Thanks Mayer...just thought I'd have a fresh keyboard after wearing the letters off certain keys<G>...and an upper case that wasn't worn at the same time<sigh>...it was supposed to be a certified "like new" upper case. Obviously, I'm not too impressed with the newness...

I use an electric screwdriver to get all the screws out.
