Why iMac don't recognise iPhone?

I've tried all the ways to connect my iMac with my iPhone but it does not recognize it...

So what can I do?

Can you explain how you are trying to connect your iPhone. Are you sing the cable or using WiFi? Do you have other devices that connect to your iMac and is your iPhone working?

It would be helpful knowing which model of iMac (as well as the OS version) you have and your iPhone as well.


Please tell us which iMac you have and what OS X you are running and what version of iTunes.

I'm gonna shoot for the OSX software needs to be updated, cause it's only capable of detecting an older phone with an older IOS. *Gotta imagine my hand over my eyes as I aim my revolver*
