Screen is fine but touch doesn't work

Hello friends! I'm having a weird issue on my screen replacement. I bought this iphone some weeks ago with the screen broken, and I just bought a new one and fixed it.

Today I opened my iphone again since the screen on the right corner wasn't fixed good.

After this, the touch never worked again until I noticed that, without the camera flex it works. The point is: Now the touch screen only works without the camera flex turned into the mother board and I can't understand how ...

There could be a short in the camera cable from being pinched or bent too far during the repair. I've fixed 1000's of devices and have seen some real crazy things happen. I have particularly seen front cameras malfunction for no apparent reason and cause this issue and the red screen of death on boot. You can grab a new camera for testing for cheap off eBay or get one here on iFixit.
