Could battery bump cause fast battery drain? [replaced screen]

Hi,

I recently replaced the screen of my iPhone 6 with a module from iFixit. Now the battery drains noticeably quicker than before. I already search for it and it looks like a lot of people have this problem, but most of them couldn't solve it.

I reopened the phone a saw a bump in the battery, which even causes a blueish spot on the display due to the pressure. Here is a picture of the battery:

Is it possible that this is the reason for the fast battery drain (maybe a short)? And wouldn't one of the battery analyzers from the App Store show that the battery is in a bad condition?

What could have caused this bump? It was already there when I opened the phone the first time.

It is possible that the replacement screen is causing the battery drain. You should re-install the original screen to see if the drain issue goes away or not.

As for the battery, I certainly don't think those bumps are normal and causing pressure points on the LCD is already reason enough to replace the battery, even if it is electrically good, IMHO.

So start by isolating the battery drain issue first.
