The laptop (Dell Inspiron n5050) is dead

Hi,

I've been off and kept the warm laptop in the bag (definitely a mistake) for few days. When I came back from holidays, my laptop wouldn't power on. I can't see the power LED glowing despite plugging power cable. The pressing the start-up for 30 sec doesn't work. I've taken out batteries and added back again but no luck. The laptop is complete dead.

I've replaced the power cable. The online research show it might be the battery issue, but I've seen many laptops running on the power cable when the battery is damaged.

What can be an issue? Shall I replace a battery?

Please help, my laptop is full of important document and photos.

Thanks

If you remove the battery and plug in the charger it should work. If it doesn't It's a greater issue than just the battery.
