Atari 2600 not sensing 'UP'!

I have tried multiple controllers and multiple games to see if it was not the console, though non of that worked. My Atari 2600 wont sense the 'UP' direction in games and no matter what I do, I can't fix it. I also cant find anything online. Any solutions or anyone I can send it into?

david.hammen I am sure you also tried both game controller ports. If so that would rule out individual components for each controller port. Time to tear it apart, using this teardown. Then use the Field service manual to check the circuitry from the game controllers to the A-to-D converter as well as the switch circuitry.
