How to replace mic in MacBook after display replacement went awry

A couple days ago I replaced the display on my Macbook 2.16 Ghz. I thought everything was going perfect until I noticed that there was a cable that had come disconnected from the iSight. I was sure that the camera was broken, however when I turned on the computer it was working fine. However, the microphone is showing nothing and seems to not be working at all. It shows no input levels whatsoever. I figure the loose cable was from the microphone. I Skype often with my girl friend and would prefer to not have to hassle with an external microphone. Is it possible to reattach the wire? Or replace the mic without replacing the camera itself?

Thanks
