Keeps turning On/Off with new SIM card

On my Pantech Breeze 3 flip phone, it works fine with the original AT&T SIM card. I installed a global SIM card to use it in Europe next month. The global SIM card is activated & the "test call" worked. All of the functions are fine EXCEPT that when I try to access the Address Book, it TURNS OFF then TURNS ON automatically. The SIM card company said it's a phone problem, not the SIM card. All of the Address Book is stored in phone memory, not SIM memory.
