Did you ever get this fixed? We have the exact same problem with a Surface 10.

Replace your battery. The trackpad isn't swollen, its getting pushed up by a swollen battery.

The battery is fine.

Tyler Hoban how do you know that it is fine? One of the reasons why your trackpad may pop out, could be because of a swollen battery. Unless you have disassembled your Surface Book there is no way of telling. Downvotes are usually reserved for malicious or blatantly wrong answers, not for the ones we do not like to hear.

@oldturkey03 Because I've opened it and Microsoft told me so.

Shouldn't something like this be covered under warranty?

Ben obviously if Microsoft told him it was OK, there's nothing to cover. It's a figment of imagination. Who are you going to believe, mighty Microsoft or your own lying eyes.
