shorted battery cable and cart will not start

Yamaha 1998 G16A, gas golf cart.

While removing positive terminal cable from battery I touched cable to metal and think I shorted out something .

Now cart will not start and lights not working.

When I put it in reverse, the reverse alarm sounds. Otherwise everything else seems dead despite good battery.
