Screen is black, but when is recognized by itunes

Im sure it's not a problem with the screen itself. When I plug it in it occasionally vibrates.

The touch digitizer connection seems broken but everything else seems fine. If it was just a broken touch digitizer then it should display something.

Any ideas?

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

How can you be sure the problem is not with the screen ? From your description it seems your screen assembly has been through something unpleasant..

I checked it out with another working screen I have

We would need some more infos about the history of this phone and if possible some high resolution pictures of the connectors area as if no picture is shown in a known working screen problem probably comes from the board itself. Guess work wouldn't help much in this case.

Have you tried booting the device without the Prox flex and homebutton flex? And the LCD is turning on but no display is showing? Love to here more about this one(:

If the phone vibrates, that only means that the phone is functional.

If the display is black/white, that can very well mean that you broke the flex cable that connects the screen to the motherboard.

If the display is displaying something(battery charging or home screen) but it cannot sensor your touch, it is the digitizer's problem.

Either way, the solution would be to replace the whole screen housing as it is very hard for normal consumers to separate digitizers from screens and fuse together a working one.

Note: If your iPhone is 6 or above, it is very wise to bring it to the Apple Store because any change to the screen housing would deactivate your touchID

Connect your device to your computer and launch 3uTools to check what mode your device is in. If your device is dfu mode or recovery mode, you can restore it.
