Hi Aaron
OK I recon you should step back and think about this.
NUMBER ONE: Disconnect the battery
2.Very gently remove your screen from there connectors again
3.Find all the screws
now if you have done this, it sounds to me that the screen is not seated on the connectors correctly (we have all done that). It is so important that you take your time, you sound as if you don't do this often so slow down :)
Have you got a magnifying glass if not go get one, if so check each connector for damage
Check your ribbon cables, on the new screen for damage..... no damage good
Right then if you can't see any damage start to re connect the screen to the connectors on the board, now don't go at it like a bull at a gate , slow and gentle is going to win this race, be on a flat surface and each time you seat a connector check it, make sure it is fully inserted (flat) into the connector "take your time"
Do this with the rest of them, it could take a couple of goes but be patient and it will work
Last and most important Reconnect Battery
Look at the guide a couple of times before to try this fix
And good on you for giving it a go !

on Step 13 here - Screw size guide or chart?
I was only able to put in the One 1.7 mm screw, and two of the Three 1.2 mm screws, other than that i didn't put in anything else because they fell and i couldn't find them. Also the Screw near the Camera just fell out randomly when opening the screen but i didn't know and that one was long aswell so i used the third 1.2 mm screw. Either way i am missing screws but im not sure if they causes the problem.
