Does a MacBook Pro 2010 Logic Board work for my early 2011 one?

I have to change my Macbook's logic board and when I look for the A1278 logic board for a macbook pro early 2011, it often appears a 2010 macbook pro A1278 logic board. My question would be if it was possible that that logic board might work. I mean, they're both A1278, but they're from different years.

Sorry but no, it doesn't fit. Core2duo boards and i5/i7 boards although they share the same form and size have different iSight and bluetooth/wifi connectors, thus unless you are prepared to change your screen and make minor modifications you cannot simply replace them.

I'm not sure why you would want an older logic board ??

In this case the older 2010 models are Core 2 Duo Vs i5 or i7 used in the 2011 models. So the answer is no you can't use the older board in your system.

Now, what you can do is use any logic board thats within the series your system is part of. In this case 'MacBookPro8,1' Which I've posted a link to above.
