Brand new Logitech UE Wonderboom NOT CHARGING

I bought my UE Wonderboom by Logitech 3 days ago and it does not charge. I'm traveling, therefore I can not go back to the store where I bought it from. I'm on an island so the warrenty isn't much use for me and I think I threw away the bill.

I saw this is a common problem with older UE's and there's many answers such as placing the speaker in the freezer for hours or pressing all 4 buttons at the same time for 20 seconds, but NONE of the "solutions" work.

Please help!!!!!!! I don't want to feel like I just wasted 100 dollars.

@zoefarah if you have absolutely no way of returning it etc. then there is no reason to worry about any warranty. The only thing you can do at this time is to tear it down and check the charging connector, as well as the battery. you might find a way to charge the battery by different means. Tear it down and take plenty of pictures and lets see if we can come up with a way to fix you up

Mine is also not charging now. I have had this wonderboom for 1 year but always fealt like the battery life was very bad . I work on construction sites so like to have it at a level I can hear it and was only lasting around 2 hours before suddenly flashing red and then dying… not ideal when your working a 8 hour shift and need music . Now it just won't charge at all. Definitely do not think it's worth the money.

It might be a bad charger Vs a bad speaker. Are you able to get any response for the speaker?

Do you have a friend back home who can take it back for you to get it exchanged? If you do you could ship it, they will need the sales slip as well.

Yes!! It was the charger! I feel so silly for sticking my speaker in the freezer for hours haha! It seemed like the only solution. Kind of annoying they sold me a broken charger... but at least it's not my speakers!! :)

I thought i had the same problem but the plug actually just needed to be somewhat unnaturally/forcefully pushed further into the speaker which made me feel very silly, if you haven't already tried that :)

I have tried that and it still isn't charging but it has the flashing light and it is really bugging me because I had it on charge all day and it still hasn't charged the slightest bit

Hi,

I had the same problem and I didn’t know what to do. I have the wonderboom 2, I just needed to use some force to get it charging. Try use force to get it in.

I have one a month old and it already quit. I think I’ve used it 2x. It seems to charge with the cable it was sold with, & the light slowly blinks while charging and then goes out. But speaker does nothing….no power, no noise…..nothing. If I remember the power button is on top near the handle. I have the Wonderboom Ultimate Ears. Thanks in advance if anyone knows anything. Ronda

I gave up on my JB Flip 3 because of this exact problem. I had the Wonderboom for a week and it stopped charging, brought back in to T-Mobile and they got it to charge, here I am 3 weeks later and it is dead and will not charge. One last resort, I have it plugged into a power bar alone and that is plugged into a very high voltage outlet, if it doesn't charge, I'm done with these little speaker, and I will request my 100.00 back, I should get 200.00,since JBL Flip did the same, very very frustrating.

I have the same problem mine’s about 4 months old everytime i plug it, it charges and the light blinks and after a few minutes it stops charging went to the store to have the warrant ly but they got it charging for a full 5 minutes then they told me no issues and just have to push the usb further in. Fast forward to a few days it’s back it won’t charge again

I have the same problem, but I got no charger with my purchase. The only accessory I got was a USB-micro-USB cable. I've been using the charger fro my old Bose, and it does not work. Any ideas? Should a charger have been included. I had no parts list in the box. And that is unusual.

Sorry James for not seeing your question, it's always best to create your own so it is seen by everyone.

From the UE web site: WONDERBOOM It appears they only supply a Micro-USB cable.

I would recommend you try another charger

I only got a micro usb cable with my wonderboom & I just use my iPad charger plug which works fine. Have also used the charger plug from my Android & that works fine too.

How do you charge it is a light ment to turn on or what cause mine isn't charging and I only just got it

Check it isn’t the charger plug that’s causing the problem & make sure the cable connection is in the speaker properly. I use my iPad charger plug & also my Android plug also works. It maybe that it is already fully charged as mine was when I got it. Does it play at all? I find that the on light pulsates when charging & goes out when fully charged. Hope this helps.

I had them replace it once, still had the same problem, they said they would replace it again, but never did. A friend was visiting and used his phone charger which worked, but my phone charger doesn't fit, so I have not been able to use my speaker at all. Meanwhile, I'm paying about 11.00 a month for Spotify.
