Perché si verificano scintille all'interno?

Why are sparks inside?

I turned on the microwave and after a few seconds sparked so I switched it off immediately and a smell of smoke was followed.

What could have happened?

I'm not a microwave expert, but from the little I know it's pretty normal to happen if the microwaves do not find an "objective" containing H20 in the oven. Among the recommendations for use for these types of oven is usually that they do not ever activate them in vacuum. Try putting a glass or porcelain container inside the water and see if it works again..I smell that the smoke was caused only by some oily residue in the oven, otherwise I see it gray.

@mayer Hei, I expected your thirst for knowledge would make you break all language barriers ;)

That's something you could help me shed some light on..I just clicked on the italian flag and everything is monolingual again but in italian..is there any automagic translating system for non italian speaking ? Are the question/answers supposed to be bilingual ? Thanks :)

@arbaman In the past I have used Google translate but found it somewhat lacking. Since I can't even detect which is your native tongue I thought you could do a better job.

As to your question, I don't have a good answer so I would post it here on the Meta site, which you need to become familiar with anyway.

Actually the Google translate did a pretty good job
