Should I repair or replace my device?

I dropped my phone in my bathroom and the screen cracked at the top left and then a large crack also formed across the middle of the screen. The phone seems to function fine but I can no longer use the phone as 90% of the screen is now blank flashing white. Is it worth the cost it would take to repair this or shall I just bite the bullet and buy a new one? Thank you.

Answer this question I have this problem too

SORRY DID NOT SEE THE PLUS! EDIT TO MY ANSWER

in CAD, the repair cost would be around 575$, where the replacement is 1050$

USD you are likely looking at roughly 400$ for a repair, and 850$ for the phone? (rough estimate on guessing the current exchange rate.)

So the repair would be half the cost of the device. i suggest a repair.

Hi Scott. I'm from the UK, I can get my hands on a new handset for £670 with the repair coming in at £350 minimum. Weighing it up really, don't want to send it for repair and then a few months later have more issues which cost more money. Any thoughts on this buddy?

If you are worried about future issues, make sure you get it repaired by Samsung so the warranty is not affected. Also, if you get it repaired, the water resistance will likely be negatively affected.

The Samsung Galaxy S8 plus lcd screen replacement is about $350 at etradesupply, if you replace a new screen, it will cost more. While getting a new phone maybe twice for the cost. Maybe you can sell it and buy a Samsung Galaxy S9 Plus.
