Cleaning space on internal 8GB, when brand new only 2GB free. Help?

I have a Blu G HD LTE phone with 8GB of internal memory and an additional 1GB of ram. I got it through iWireless. When I got it brand new it only had a little less than 2GB of the 8GB internal memory free...WTF? It came with the marshmallow version of android 6.0. I simply can't believe that the os takes up 6GB, Please help me figure out how to clean some of this up. I khave already looked through apps in settings and there is nothing too bog in there. Is there a partition with a backup or something? I have an additional memory card installed but with androids annoying way with seemingly adding virtually everything on the memory card (mainly downloaded pictures) to the internal memory I am now down to only 1GB of free internal memory. I use an online backup so I really don't need an internal backup if that's the problem.Please help! Thank you.

Chosen Solution

Formatting=1GB

OS+updates=2.5GB (about)

The rest is iWireless and BLU software. Bloatware.

My 64GB phone only has 54GB.

4GB=formatting

OS=6 GB

No bloatware.

Is there any way I can remove the bloatware, blu software and Iwireless non essential stuff, other than the obvious (going thru settings/apps?

Not really, no. There is one way, but I really don't recommend it. That is to replace the OS with a costom ROM. It is very risky, and probably wouldn't run well.
