How do I close the slightly-opened volume control/mic on my earpods?
So I was checking my earpods and I noticed that it is slightly opened. Would anyone please tell me how to fix it?

Better try buds, never try repairing them. Else better head to a repair shop (Apple Store) .
I once read somewhere that the volume controller is better sealed, which means it's less susceptible to water damage, and the paper speaker cones are less likely to tear than the older model's plastic ones.
