Ps3 Hdmi no signal, shut down after video reset.

morning yesterday, i playing game on my ps3 just fine, then when i boot my ps3 at night. It says no signal on my led tv. I had switch my hdmi port, change my hdmi cable, but it kee saying no signal. I tried to enter recovery mode, i hold the power button and come first beep then 5-10 seconds come the second beeps that indicate the video reset. But after this second beeps, my ps3 shutdown and back to standby redlight again. I repeat again and it shutdown again after the second beep. Do you guys know whats wrong with my ps3? Do i have a bad component on my ps3? Thanks :) I will appreciate your answer.

I have a green one a blue one red one white one and red one no yellow one too hook my ps3 up

My HDMI port died suddenly, I use the composite and with an adaptor composite to hdmi I get the same quality as HDMI, so I dont feel my HDMI port is dead, I think it is quite a common issue in the PS3 fat, hwn I took my PS3 to service, the technician told me that is not the first time he sees an HDMI port dead, he said it is very difficult to fix and the best is just to use the composite port with an adaptor, I am happy with that

Sounds like Yellow Light Of Death (YLOD) overheating issue which many PHAT (Fat) non-slim PS3's suffer from especially the older model revisions (years).

There's no real permanent fix for this unfortunately there are some temporary fixes which hopefully last a year at best.

It's the CPU / APU / GPU whatever it's called on the logic board that gets too hot and can be temp fixed by getting it reflowed.

If it's YLOD it should be turn on, beeps a few times switches green, yellow momentarily then red off.

Thankyou Ben for the answer :). My ps3 are slim version. When i boot the ps3 its sound like normal. The fan and engine sounds like running fine. But it just keep saying no signal on my tv and theres no 3 beeps greenlight and then yellow light like YLOD cases. My ps3 just shutdown when i tried to enter safe mode. It shut down on the second beep.

I would like to check my GPU/APU at service center later. But i will glad if there any fixes before i took this ps3 to service. Thankyou :)

Try another cable or tv. If that isn’t the problem, try a coaxial or composite cable. Still no? Sorry but it is the playstation
